Common questions from buyers and engineers

Can RM encoders directly replace Tamagawa / Heidenhain units?

For RS485 Tamagawa-protocol systems and SSI setups, yes — the RM10 uses the same electrical interface, so motor and drive makers can qualify it as a second source without redesigning their controller. BISS-C versions are available for high-dynamic applications.

What is the minimum order quantity?

We start with samples for qualification, then move to pilot orders sized to your program. Volume pricing and scheduled delivery can be structured once annual demand is clear.

Can you customize the protocol, connector or housing?

Yes. Because we control the ASIC and the assembly line, we can adapt protocols, interfaces, dimensions, mounting and even the chip functionality itself. Typical customizations take 4–8 weeks to sample.

What quality testing does every unit receive?

Every encoder is 100% factory tested. The series passes ±12 kV ESD (IEC 61000-4-2), 95% RH / 96-hour high-temperature humidity, 10 Hz–2 kHz vibration on all axes, and 980 m/s² mechanical shock. ISO 9001 quality system, 12-month warranty.
